Shannon Councillors have unanimously backed a masterplan developed for the town centre.
Clare County Council is now set to engage with the business and arts sectors regarding the current document, which had been on public display until just before Christmas.
An improved main street has been earmarked under the draft plan, along with the creation of a new street and a new town square.
