New Survey Finds Strong Support For Clare County Council

Clare County Council has received strong support in a new survey of 21 local authorities across the country.

The second NOAC Local Authority Satisfaction Survey, which has just been published, looked at the 10 medium sized local authorities, as well as Galway city, with Clare receiving some of the highest scores in the country.

This survey is the second of three carried out by Ipsos MRBI for the National Oversight & Audit Commission, and examines satisfaction levels when it comes to 21 local authorities in Ireland.

The first report looked at the 10 largest local authorities and was published last year, and now details surrounding the 10 medium sized councils, as well as Galway city has been published.

The survey found that 69% of people were satisfied with Clare County Council, while 60% agreed that the council promotes economic activity.

44% also agreed that they were well informed , 43% were satisfied with the council’s openness and transparency, while 40% said the local authority provides good for value for money.

The final survey which looks at the 10 small local authorities will be published in 2020.
