Full-time lifeguard cover will be in place at Clare’s most popular swimming spots from today.
Lifeguards will be in place at the county’s nine Blue Flag beaches, namely Fanore, Lahinch, Whitestrand Miltown Malbay, Spanish Point, Whitestrand Doonbeg, Kilkee, Cappa, Mountshannon and Ballycuggeran, Killaloe. across the summer.
Cover will also be in place at Ballyalla.

The service will be in operation from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, and Clare County Council is encouraging swimmers to go swimming in locations where lifeguards are in place.
