Council Spends Almost €14,000 Cleaning Up Illegal Dumping

Clare County Council has spent a total of €13,891 cleaning up following a spate of illegal dumping on privately owned lands in Ennis.

The local authority’s Housing Department has engaged contractors on four separate occasions to remove material dumped on land adjacent to the Knockanean Tulla Road Traveller Accommodation site.

The figure has been revealed following a request from Mayor of Ennis, Clare Colleran Molloy for a report on the issue.
