Controversial Council Motion Calling For Joe Brolly Reinstatement To Be Heard Today

A controversial motion calling on RTÉ to reinstate Joe Brolly to its GAA coverage is to go before Clare County Council today.

The motion, put down by Independent Councillors Gerry Flynn, Ann Norton and PJ Ryan, hit national headlines in recent weeks, with some calling the motion a waste of council time.

They’re calling on their colleagues in Áras Contae an Chláir to support their call to press the issue with the Communications and Finance Ministers, saying the popular pundit’s absence from screens “has taken away from the enjoyment of the game”.
