Concern Over Lack Of Hostel Accommodation In Ennis Ahead Of Fleadh Nua

Concern has emerged about a potential lack of hostel accommodation available in Ennis ahead of the upcoming Fleadh Nua.

It follows the closure of the Rowan Tree Cafe and Hostel on Harmony Row last October due to what the business described as “unsustainable operational costs”.

This week’s meeting of the Ennis Municipal District has heard calls for that premises, along with a number of others in the town, to be examined by both Ennis Chamber and Clare County Council with a view to establishing new tenants there.
