Clare Must Not Become “Encampment Destination” – Colleran Molloy

It’s claimed it’s vital that Clare doesn’t become a destination for illegal encampments.

It’s understood that a number of caravans and mobile homes accumulated at Skehenagh, just off the motorway, last week and they were later moved on after Clare County Council and the Gardaí visited the site.

Since then, council staff have cleaned out the area as it was left with some litter and damage to the site.


It’s believed the people living in this encampment were from outside of the county Ballybeg Fianna Fáil Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy says it’s important now that a strong message is put out to deter other illegal pop ups:
