Clare County Council has been named as Council of the Year by the Local Authority Members’ Association.
The 14th annual LAMA awards saw Clare’s Council claim the top prize, and a host of other honours, at the annual awards ceremony this past weekend.
There were other first place awards for the new LIT building in Ennis, for the Feakle Social Housing Scheme and for Clare’s Civil Defence.

Other awards went to the Clare Green Festival and Events Initiative and The Vision Symphony, a world-first musical piece that was performed by visually impaired and blind musicians.
