Clare County Council And Gardaí Ask Public To Hold Firm

Clare County Council and An Garda Síochána have joined with local health authorities in appealing to people in Clare to hold firm and continue to follow public health advice.

While January has already seen more COVID cases nationally than all of 2020, Clare’s daily increase has begun to level out, with Tuesday night seeing the lowest daily increase since December 28th.

Last night saw 24 new cases confirmed here.

Despite this, Clare County Council says the situation is not over by any stretch and is urging people to continue to play their part in fighting the spread of COVID-19.

Council CEO Pat Dowling says the mortality rate is still exceedingly high.
