Clare County Council Water Conservation Warning

With the heat wave continuing, water supplies are coming under pressure and levels in the River Fergus are said to be at their lowest level since 1976.

So far water supplies are said to be within normal operating levels, but Clare County Council is urging people to conserve water in order to maintain this position.

The Council is now requesting that households do not use water for car washing, watering gardens, for cleaning driveways, and any other non-essential purposes.
