Clare County Council Is Calling On The Minister For Health To Take Urgent Action

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council is calling on the Minister for Health to take urgent action on the ambulance crisis in Clare.

Local representatives discussed the state of the service during last night's monthly meeting, following a number of incidents which have flagged gaps in cover due to what unions say is a shortfall of staff.

There's currently a shortage of 20 ambulance staff which has instances in West and East Clare in the past number of months where there was no emergency cover .
