Clare County Board Describe GAA Suspension As ‘Surprise’

Clare’s County Board has described the GAA’s suspension of all club matches with immediate effect as ‘surprise’.

Almost all of Clare’s adult competitions have now been completed, apart from the Junior A Football final between Banner and Ballyvaughan.

Clare’s intercounty senior hurlers and footballers are due to begin their Munster championship campaigns later this month.

The Banner’s minor football squad, meanwhile, are continuing to self-isolate following a confirmed case of COVID-19 amongst the panel.
