The Environment Minister is being asked to provide answers as to why concerns raised by Clare councillors regarding boundary changes appear to have been totally ignored.
Under the new electoral lines approved by Phil Hogan, the county is split into four, West Clare, Ennis, Killaloe and Shannon, meaning the Ennistymon electoral area has been scrapped with the Burren divided into two separate election areas
North Clare Fianna Fail representative Michael Kelly has branded it a fiasco and questions why they were asked to make submissions on the boundaries when it seems their concerns weren’t taken on board.
