Clare Councillor Raises Concerns for Prostitutes Operating in the County

Clare Councillors have given their backing to calls to criminalise the purchase of sexual activities.

It comes as Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard says she believes up to 20 women and children are working as prostitutes in the county. 

She has also raised concerns over their health and safety and says language barriers prevent children and women from seeking help. 

Cllr Howard says the industry must be stopped.
