Clare Councillor Claims Rural Pubs Should Open And Dublin Pubs Shut

A Clare Councillor says this county’s publicans are being forgotten about by the Government.

Killaloe councillor Pat Burke’s comments come after videos widely shared on social media over the weekend showed a Dublin bar flouting social distancing rules and a barman pouring drinks into people’s mouths.

Clare publicans have previously expressed the unhappiness at the uncertainty of the reopening of so-called ‘wet’ pubs, with establishments that don’t serve food not being permitted to re-open until the end of this month at the earliest.
