Clare councillor backs calls for unity in party

Clare Labour representative and Deputy Mayor Pascal Fitzgerland has backed calls by the party chairman for unity within the ranks.

Colm Keaveney has written to Labour TD’s, Senators and Councillors following a meeting with party leader Eamon Gilmore in which he says there is another context to the Primary Care Centres row which cant be articulated publicly at the moment.

Yesterday, the Tanaiste and Labour leader Eamon Gilmore met with Minister Reilly and the HSE – afterwards, he told the Dail he was assured there was no ministerial involvement in the selection of the site.

Clare Labour Councillor Pascal Fitzgerlad accepts this and believes needs to get on with the job of running the country
