Anti-TTIP campaigners have welcomed a decision by Clare Councillors to reject the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership.

The proposed free trade agreement between the EU and the US, if passed, would create the world's largest free trade zone.
A motion submitted by Independent Councillor Ann Norton received cross party support from her council colleagues, with many expressing fears that, if adopted, the agreement could see an erosion the powers of national and local government.
Ennis Anti-TTIP campaigner Feidhlim Harty is pleased that Councillors got behind the motion.
