Clare Community Projects Granted Funding For Education

Two community education projects in Clare have received funding under the Mitigating against Educational Disadvantage Fund.

The aim of the fund is to support community education for adult learners in particular, with a focus on technology.

King Thomond Direct Provision Centre in Lisdoonvarna and Obair in Newmarket-on-Fergus as well as St Munchin’s Community Centre in Limerick City will share a total of €488,200 in funding.

Chief Executive of the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, George O’ Callaghan says this funding will enable adults in Clare to continue their education journeys.
