Clare Community Centres Receive €1 Million In Government Funding

Just over €1 million has been awarded to community centres in Clare for enhancement and refurbishment works.

The Department of Rural and Community Development has today confirmed that 13 Clare facilities in total will benefit from the Community Centres Investment Fund.

The fund makes up to €100,000 available to each individual centre for upgrade works and repairs.

Clare’s total allocation is €1,048,097 and six centres have been granted the maximum amount of €100,000.

These are Kilmurry McMahon Community Centre, Liscannor Community Centre, Mountshannon Community Hall, Quin Community Centre, Tulla Courthouse and Community Centre, and St Joseph’s Miltown GAA Community Clubhouse.

Clonlara Leisure and Sports Society Community Centre has been awarded €88,780 and Obair Family Centre in Newmarket-on-Fergus has been given €86,712 while €82,900 is the amount allocated to Clare Community Bridge Centre in Ennis.

Kilshanny Community Hall is to benefit from an award of €74,314 while Corofin Community Hall has received €58,390, Tubber Hall has been granted €31,251 and Kilfenora Community Centre’s allocation is €26,750.
