Clare Communities Tipped To Have Renewed Confidence In Water Supply Thanks To €9 Million Funding

It’s believed many Clare communities will have renewed confidence in their water quality going forward thanks to a multi-million euro Government investment.

Over €9 million in funding has been granted to group water schemes in Clare by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage for the purpose of upgrade and improvement works.

The Ranaghan and Tubber Monreagh schemes are the greatest beneficiaries, having been allocated over €6 million thanks to a joint submission, while Bodyke’s scheme has received just shy of €600,000.

Inagh-based Green Party Deputy Leader, Senator Róisín Garvey, has been telling Clare FM’s Seán Lyons the people of Tubber have been forced to put up with an inadequate water supply for too long.
