Clare Colleran Molloy has been elected as the new Mayor of the Ennis Municipal District.
The Ballybeg-based Fianna Fail representative takes over the chains from Barefield Independent Councillor Ann Norton, who’s held them for the past 12 months.
The trained barrister ran as a candidate in 2016’s general election and has been a Councillor in the area since 2009.

She also sits on the board of the Ennis 2040 company, and says that plan is making progress.
