Coastal communities in Clare remain on alert for flooding once again this morning.

A status yellow wind warning is in place for Munster, Galway, Mayo and most of Leinster until 1 o’clock this afternoon, with gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour forecast.

Clare escaped the brunt of Storm Eleanor on Tuesday, though hundreds of properties were without power at various stages throughout the day yesterday following a lightening strike in the aftermath of the storm.
