A Clare childcare provider insists a one size fits all approach can’t be taken towards investment in their sector.
A new survey by SIPTU found 7 in 10 respondents with plans of leaving are looking for better pay, while poor benefits and burnout were also contributing factors.

Government funding for the sector increased by 173 million euro last year, with a further commitment to decrease the level of fees to parents.
But Manager/Owner of Lifford Childcare Centre, Claire Tuohy says more investment in core funding is needed to fund pay increases for staff.
