A Clare charity is experiencing an unprecedented rise in the demand to help families cope with back to school costs.
Struggling parents are being hit with what’s described as the ‘double whammy’ of sending their kids back to school amid the current cost of living crisis.
MidWest Simon has previously seen a 50% spike in the numbers seeking help at this time, but this year’s figures have surpassed all records, with 1,000 people accessing the food bank monthly.
