The Clare Chairwoman of Irish Water's parent company is to resign.
It's understood Rose Hynes, will step down from the role of Chairwoman at Ervia, the company that controls the ater utility later this week citing other work commitments.
The New Quay woman also chairs Shannon Group and recently joined the board of agri-business company Origin Enterprises.
The Irish Times reports that following her appointment to Origin at the beginning of the month, Ms Hynes indicated to colleagues that she intended to reduce her commitments elsewhere.
Ervia have confirmed that Rose Hynes has signalled her intent to resign on Friday, October 16th, as she will no longer be able to commit the necessary time and attention to the company.
