Car sales in Clare last month were down over 70% on the same time last year.
As is traditionally the case in November, car registrations saw a dip here last month, dropping from 46 in October to just four.

While this is a 73% decrease in the space of a year, car sales in 2024 to date here are up 3% on 2023, with 2,467 units sold so far in the Banner County compared to 2,395 last year.
Director General of the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, Brian Cooke, claims growth is being seen in the new car market nationwide.
