A Clare Fianna Fail candidate has vowed that the mortgage interest relief for tens of thousands of hard-pressed families will be maintained.

The scheme is worth an average of 750 euro a year to those who bought their homes from 2004 to 2012 but is set to end at the end of 2017.
However, Clare Colleran Molloy is now backing a plan to extend it until 2020.
She says it's vital that this occurs.
