Campaigners in clare say the introduction of free GP care for the over seventies is a first step towards improving services for the elderly.

40,000 people will be able to visit the doctor for free from next Wednesday, regardless of their income.
But people must register online at GP VISIT CARD DOT IE or with their local healthcare provider before hand.
