A local campaigner has held a one-woman protest outside Clare County Council's headquarters in Ennis over the county's planned 8.6 million euro library.

Consultants have been appointed for the flagship project, which will be located at Glór in Ennis and replace the existing De Valera Library on Harmony Row.
However, protester Josephine McEvoy believes the redevelopment of the current library would be the most cost-effective option.
The local authority insist the existing facility is flood prone, with inadequate facilities, and the cost of renovation would be considerable.
