Clare C-Diff Families warn against Complacency

Clare families affected by the hospital superbug which was linked to the deaths of 21 patients at Ennis General are warning the HSE against complacency in tackling the highly infectious disease.

They’ve been reacting to figures which show Clare’s County Hospital recorded 12 new cases of Clostridium Difficile over the past year… following the serious outbreak in 2007.

The HSE says there’s been significant improvements in the control of the superbug over the past two years, however The C-Diff and MRSA Support Group Ennis is deeply concerned about the lack of follow on care.
