Clare business representatives believe start up companies in the county will particularly benefit from the government’s new Jobs Plus Scheme.

The initiative aims to incentive employers to hire people who have spent an extensive time on the Live Register – thus boosting job creation and reducing long term unemployment.
It will see the state cover approximately 1 in every 4 euro of the typical cost of hiring someone who has been receiving unemployment benefit for more than 12 months.
