A Clare Builder says small developers are currently putting their heads on the chopping block to secure finance for housing projects.
It comes as the Government is floating a new loan scheme which will allow developers to secure funds to build on residentially zoned land before planning permission is granted.

Research by Home Building Finance Ireland has found that more than 90% of homebuilders deliver fewer than 50 homes a year.
