34 year old Derek Floyd of Lower main Street, Tulla  was convicted last March of knowingly filing incorrect VAT returns – in order to claim over 680-thousand euro from Revenue.

Sentencing him to five years in prison at Ennis Circuit Court today, Judge Ray Fulham said it should be noted that Revenue Fraud is not a "victimless crime".
