Clare Braces Itself For Storm Brian

Coastal Communities in Clare are being warned to batten down the hatches this afternoon as Storm Brian fast approaches.

Met Éireann has issued two weather warnings for Clare – a low level Yellow rain warning is in place today with up to 50 millimeters of rain expected over the coming hours and a risk of flooding.

While conditions will begin to worsen from mid-night tonight when a mid-level Orange wind warning comes into effect, with gusts of up to 130 kilometres per hour forecast until noon tomorrow.
