Clare was the hottest spot in Ireland last month.
Met Eireann says that its Shannon Airport weather station recorded the highest mean monthly temperature in May, one degree higher than its long term average.

That’s one degree above normal.
Unsurprisingly, the data has found that it was a dry month here, while there were no dull days at all last month.
