Clare Based Ireland-Palestine Alliance Chair Claims US Not Doing Enough To Broker Ceasefire

The Clare based Chair of the Ireland-Palestine Alliance (Sadaka) claims the United States is not exacting enough of its power to ensure a ceasefire in Gaza.

It comes as the Irish government has pledged €20m in finding to the UNRWA, the United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency.

A number of countries had suspended their funding to UNRWA earlier this month, following Israeli allegations that 3 of its members were involved in co-ordinating the October 7th attacks.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged to press ahead with his assault on the city of Rafah, where ceasefire negotiations broke down last night.
