Clare Based Former Trócaire Director Urges Public To Separate Views On Immigration Policy From The Asylum Seekers Themselves

A former Trócaire Director from Clare is urging even the most hard-line of critics to separate their views on immigration policy from the Asylum Seekers themselves.

So far this year, Gardaí have attended over 250 anti-immigration protests, while earlier this month, the Ross Lake Hotel in Galway which was due to house 70 International Protection Applicants was burnt to the ground.

At present 20% of Ireland’s workforce is comprised of non-nationals.
