Clare-Based Diabetes Volunteer Says ‘Work To Do’ In Resourcing The Condition

A Clare-based volunteer with Diabetes Ireland believes there is still ‘a lot of work to do’ in ensuring the region’s hospitals are properly resourced to deal with the condition.

It’s after the UL Hospitals Group confirmed national funding has been made available for the recruitment of three dietician for adults with type 1 diabetes in UHL.

There are approximately 2,000 type one diabetics in the Midwest region.
