The Clare-based General Secretary of the ICSA is raising fresh concerns about the mental health of workers in the agriculture sector.
It comes after a new survey from Teagasc which saw more than a quarter of Irish farmers reporting their wellbeing was ‘poor’ or ‘below average’.

Other issues causing stress include policy changes, regulation and farm succession.
