A Clare auctioneer is urging the Government to eliminate various “bottlenecks” in Ireland’s construction industry to boost the supply of rental homes.
It comes as the Department of Housing’s review of the rental sector has identified a “significant” need to incentivise developers to build private rental accommodation in order to meet Housing For All targets.
Residential Tenancy Board figures show between 2016 and 2021, the number of registered rental tenancies dropped by 43,599.
