An Ennis Auctioneer claims the enhanced prevalence of the cost of living crisis in cities is driving people to relocate in Clare.
The Real Estate Alliance’s latest quarterly Housing Price Index, which is the second housing report published this week, shows the number of buyers from outside the county purchasing properties here has increased by 12% in the last year.
However, the average price of a house in Clare remained stagnant in the same timeframe, with a three-bed semi detached dwelling still commanding the sum of €230,000.
Liam Browne from Paddy Browne REA in Woodquay believes the lack of available supports in large urban areas will continue to push families home.
