Clare is one of only 11 counties to record a dip in new car sales this year.
While new car registrations only dropped by a marginal 1.6% in this county so far this year, other counties recorded increases of up to 10%.
Nationally, sales to date have dropped by 3.6%, but are 17% lower than pre-pandemic levels.
