A Clare member of Active Retirement Ireland is raising fresh calls for the government to increase the state pension.
It comes as a new survey has found that less that one in four people are prepared to work longer in exchange for a larger state retirement package.

The Government’s flexible pension model is set to come into force from January which will give workers the option of staying in the workplace until they’re 70 for higher payments.
Quin Native Euguene Philips who is Ireland’s first Digital Ambassador for Active Retirement Ireland says more funding is required to make the scheme viable.
