A Clare native academic doesn’t believe a grain deal allowing grain to leave Ukraine will lead to the first steps towards ending the war there.
The first grain-carrying cargo ship to leave a Ukrainian port since the Russian invasion left Odesa earlier this week for its final destination in Lebanon.
Vladimir Putin had faced mounting pressure to allow the transportation of the grain, due to shortages to the world’s food supply.
