CLAR Programme Review To Be Completed This Year

A review of a government programme, which supports areas that are experiencing population decline, is set to be completed later this year.

The CLÁR programme gives backing to developments in designated areas, with the aim of encouraging people to continue to live and work there.

Minister for Rural Affairs Michael Ring, however, has accepted that areas which should be considered are currently excluded, and this review could see this rectified.
