It’s claimed vulture funds are pricing Clare’s first time buyers out of the market.
The latest Residential Property Price Index show the average price forked out to become a new homeowner in Ennis or Shannon has jumped by over €40,000 since January.

This is despite the Government preventing the bulk sale of over 530 properties in Clare over the last three years through the imposition of special planning conditions.
But Ennis based Irish Freedom Party General Election candidate Michael Leahy believes small landlords and vulture funds need to be taxed at the same rate to solve the problem.
