The Taoiseach has ordered a "full review" of the facility at Shannon and Dublin Airports, in light of the Donald Trump's travel ban, which restricts entry into the states for people from seven majority muslim countries.
Shannon Councillor Mike McKee has described the policy as "dangerous", saying Ireland can't be complicit in aiding and abetting the US President's plans.
He believes that pre-clearance should remain but he says the economic benefits of maintaining it, shouldn't be prioritised over human rights.
