It's claimed a programme of hedge-cutting on routes across Clare would make roads safer for both locals and visitors.

Maghera Councillor Pat Hayes is concerned for the health and safety of motorists on some of the busier roads in the county, that don't qualify under current hedgecutting programmes.
Clare County Council says it will investigate if there is funding available for such works to be carried out.
Councillor Hayes insists landowners can't bear sole responsibility for keeping hedges cut along roads.
