Concern has emerged that the shortage of dental practices in the region will lead to the deterioration of oral healthcare for dependent residents in West Clare.
There is currently just one dental service operational in Kilrush, with residents reportedly experiencing difficulty in gaining appointments due to the large demand placed on the facility.

It’s claimed the prospect of a lenghty journey to Ennis for routine operations is understood be acting as a deterant to those without access to private transport.
Kilrush based Councillor Ian Lynch says the issue is preventing elderly people from receiving vital oral care.
