A former Clare Fine Gael Oireachtas member is denying reports of a rift within the party locally over the leadership battle.
While the county’s Fine Gael oireachtas representatives are all lending their support to Leo Varadkar, it seems many local councillors are opting for Simon Coveney instead.
Social Protection Minister Varadkar has the overall lead nationally.
